Falsled Kro has a long and varied history way back in the 16th Century. Today the fame of Jean-Louis Lieffroy´s kitchen is due to an unusually succesful combination: Jean-Louis´gastronomic talent based on the finest French culinary traditions, plus access to a wealth of wonderful primary produce (the basis of all good gastronomy) close at hand. Funen is known as the Garden of Denmark, one of the reasons for this being the island´s aromatic lilac hedges and apples groves in blossom.
